I hope everyone had a great time over the holidays with good people and lots of lovely food. We certainly had all of the above! And somewhere between the piles of glitter, empty glasses, bottles and bowls of snacks from new years eve, there happened to be a box of Bricks and Eyes (11003) we… Read More Happy New Year! (And a belated Merry Christmas too!)
Since my last post, Lego has announced some more sets for the coming year – time for part 2 of my 2020 impressions. And just like in part 1 I won’t hold up myself with the (for me) less interesting sets. So straight to the good stuff!
Yesterday pictures of the new sets for next year popped up
Just in case you haven’t noticed 😉 Littleworlds has been quiet for way too long. It was actually really shocking to see that my last post was dated August – 2018! So what happened? Nothing dramatic really. Just some frustration with taking photos that keeps on lingering. My photo-setup works quite well for smaller builds,… Read More Still here!
Back in May, when this set was announced, I was quite excited and planned to get it to display the dinosaurs on the lawn in front of the science institute I am working on (and… ermm, still am. I just watched the trailer for The Lego Movie 2, which comes out in February 2019 and whilst I am not really keen on watching it (to be honest, I haven’t even watched the first part yet), I feel genuinely excited about the possible sets we might get from it: That’s a healthy amount of… Read More Mad Max meets Lego
So far 2018 is a good year for Lego sets. After a mixed 2017 with a lot (probably too much) of hype going on about the Lego Batman- and Ninjago-Movie and not always great sets (like the infamous Bat-Space Shuttle), Lego’s line-up for this year seems to be back on the right track. Speaking of… Read More 2018: Interesting Sets – so far!
Please Note: This post took me a long time to finish. Not the writing. That usually goes pretty quick. As it did here. But the photos… I finally got them in a quality I can approve. Mostly! Enjoy! Hardboiled detective stories are an all-time favourite of mine. Novels like Raymond Chandler’s The Big Sleep or… Read More Review: Detective’s Office (10246)
Smoooke on the water – fire on the pier: that’s clearly a clearly a case for the Lego City coastal firefighter squad. Being a starter set, it follows the current fashion of providing pleny of Minifigures (three firefighters and a harbour worker), with a healthy amount of accessories and two small builds that clearly set… Read More Review: Lego City Fire Starter Set (60106)
